So blog stalkers come out and leave me a comment, or two. Comments completely make my day! Even my week!
So tell me a little bit about yourself… who are you? where are you from? how long have you been visiting? are you a client, a friend of a client, a photographer, are you my friend, are you my mother? I know she checks in a regular basis! hehe =) What do you want to see more of on this blog, more wedding photos? more travel photos, more of me or more portrait photos? Everyone please leave a comment and this time next week I will announce the lucky winner of the itunes gift card!

happy easter
24 . March . 08
happy easter everyone!
I hope everyone has had a fantastic break! I shot two fabulous weddings on Saturday and Sunday and today I had the pleasure of having a day off so Micki and I jumped in the car and went on a road trip up to York. I never seem to get around to taking images for myself anymore, so today I bought my camera along and had a bit more of a play around with my 45mm tilt shift lens.

and this is one micki took of me as we hanged out along the river bank.
News Update
19 . March . 08
Last week I received notification that I got a placing in the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) top 100 photographers for 2007! I am the only Australian that made it onto the list! =) There is twenty other photographers who also share the same amount of points as me, so I not sure exactly what number I fit in it, but I think we all share placing of the 39 mark. Not bad at all! =)
Today I was notified that I have recieved my full Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) membership! I have been a emerging member for the last year and decided this year to finally go for a portfolio review and obtain full membership! This now means I can use the AIPP logo in my advertising, yay!

I WON!!!
7 . March . 08
I won!!!! WOOOHOO!
First up, this has been a totally awesome week… I got into work this morning and opened up my email and find out I got first place in the kids category of the Wedding Photojournalist Association!!! The photo was taken at Amy and Craig’s wedding in December. The shot is of Amy’s little sister looking at Amy’s ring. It was a totally beautiful moment. The Wedding Photojournalist Association is a international association promoting photojournalism at weddings.. many of the worlds best photographers are members and enter these competitions. It is a complete honour to get a placing, yet alone first place! I now get to have a blue medallion next to my name on the WPJA website and score an awesome camera bag =)
and on Wednesday night, I went to the Bridal Options magazine launch at the Bluewater Grill. They had a raffle going on the night and managed to win the grand prize, a beautiful pearl necklace set in white gold and diamonds! Its really beautiful! Many thanks can go to Charles Edward Jewellers for donating the prize! I will post a photo next week along with some photos of the new bridal options magazine, I have a nice big advertisement in it this year, two feature weddings - Michaelia + Alwins wedding and Sharee + Mick’s wedding! Also I have a few photos scattered through the magazine, one from Mikala and Scott’s wedding, Catie and Lindsay’s and from Amy and Craig’s which is the image below of Amy’s sister =)

have a good weekend everyone!!

A glimpse of things to come
2 . March . 08
I have had the honour of photographing 13 amazing weddings in the past two months. All have been so unique and beautiful weddings and I have captured some truly beautiful moments and makes me think of how lucky I am I get to do this for work. Editing all these weddings however has been a bit of a mission.. I really need more hours in my days, or a extra set of arms! However soon I will have a extra set when I take on a office manager in the next month (btw thanks to all who has applied, I will be contacting you in the next few weeks for interviews.. you all sound so good, so it will definitely be hard to choose someone! I am still accepting applicants so if you are interested in working for me, scroll down a post or two to find out more).
Anyway get back to the weddings… getting images ready for my blog takes awhile to do, so my apologies to anyone who I have not posted yet, I do love you! I really do. I am just trying my hardest getting all these weddings edited as soon as possible =) January weddings are now all finished..

Sat and Kuldeep - engagement shoot
1 . March . 08
I am so excited to be photographing Kuldeep and Sat’s wedding this Tuesday… we have got some awesome spots picked out for photos! Early this evening I photographed Kuldeep and Sat for their engagement session as a warm up for their wedding this Tuesday. I was very excited from the photos we got at the shoot I came straight back to the office and have been editing them all evening.. today is my first Saturday I have had off in ages.. and I spent the night on my computer.. good thing I love my job!! =) I just want to say I have such awesome clients… I love when my clients give me full creative control and trust me enough when I ask them to climb through things, stand near random old walls and sit on not very clean ground.. sometimes I get a few weird looks when I ask them to do something but more often than not, the results speak for themselves! =)
We started the shoot off by wandering around the west end of Fremantle..

Today’s mission was to photograph in all new locations… I found some pretty cool new places.

Slightly Jesh inspired ;)

Finally have mastered my 45mm Tilt Shift Lens… its beautiful.

Freo has so many awesome spots.

I love Kuldeep’s sunnies =)

We did take a walk past my favorite car park in the whole wide world…

I found this new awesome spot last week… its my new secret spot ;)

After spending an hour of so in the West End we jumped in our cars and headed up to the old wooden bridge up near the Left Bank Pub..

The light was beautiful this evening.
