Kristy + Lucy + Ellie

21 . November . 07

Yesterday I had the great pleasure in hanging out with Kristy and her two little friends Lucy and Ellie. I have been looking forward to this portrait session since Kristy booked me a few weeks ago. We met up at Kristy’s house first so we could take some photos of Lucy and Ellie on my white seemless background:

First up… Lucy! I love her big beautiful ears!

Kristy had seen the fashion shoot I did with Renee at the Pines at Kings Park and decided she wanted to do the portrait session of her dog Lucy there, so we headed off to Kings Park after finishing up on the white seemless:

This shot makes my heart melt. Dogs are so beautiful..

Kristy had a special request… her birthday was the following day (today!!), she wanted me to take a photograph of her to celebrate her birthday! She had seen the photograph I had taken of Renee and asked if we could do something similar… of course I agreed!!! =)

Oliver - Dog Portraits

I am now offering doggie portrait sessions - I think it would be an awesome gift to give someone who’s best friend is there dog. Gift Vouchers are available! I love shooting dogs on the white background - it helps able to capture the dogs multiple personalities! When doing the session, I always shoot some candids of the dog playing around in his backyard or at the park, and then some on the backdrop. It’s always recommended to take your dog on a long walk before the session, it helps keep them a little calmer when having them on the backdrop!

Oliver is the nicest, gentlest and friendliest dog I have ever meet.  He is just the cutest thing.. more photos from the shoot coming soon, this one just makes my heart melt.

Dillon Dog

I am down in Albany for the next few days, working on a landscape series of photography thats going on exhibition down here in September!

Coming down to Albany means spending time with my family and my beautiful old dog, Dillon. He will be 11 years old this year, he is starting to look his age! He has always been a rather mean savage guard dog (he is a Blue Heeler crossed with a German Shepard). Now that he is getting older, he is starting to be a bit more friendly and peaceful around strangers, though not too friendly that I wouldnt want to jump over the back fence at night =)
